A serial entrepreneur, Marsha also founded Brandworks University®, the annual Lindsay, Stone & Briggs' 3-day conference which – for 25 years (until 2015) – provided MBA-level learning to 400 executives from around the globe. Here, the accuracy of her strategic foresight cemented her reputation as a notable futurist.
An educator at her core, Marsha served as an adjunct professor in the MBA program of the University of Wisconsin - Madison Business School, where she launched and taught for several years a semester-long course on brand strategy and management. Today she serves on the advisory board to the school’s dean, and the advisory board to the school’s MBA Center for Brand and Product Management.
Marsha’s talent for research and insight became evident when she herself was pursuing a Master’s and Doctorate at the UW. Her research focus was decision-making psychology and behavioral economics. When tested on real-world marketing challenges, her findings accelerated sales, share, margin and brand strength. So she dropped out of the PhD program and founded Lindsay, Stone & Briggs, the agency which specializes in the successful branding, launch and scaling of innovations. (For three decades she served as the firm’s CEO.)
Today Marsha serves on several fiduciary boards, with committee responsibilities ranging from audit to executive development, governance to chairing a capital investment committee. She has been honored for her entrepreneurship and teaching; recognized nationally and internationally for visionary and pioneering work in brand strategy, e-commerce and digital marketing.
